Sorry it this sounds overly negative. I'm being hyper critical because I like your style.

The Heat and the Scissors detract from the rest of the work. They are cliché objects that don't need to be there to get the point across.

Hmmmm that's definitely true; they distract. I tend to make things unecessarily messy. I'll look out for these types of elements next time I draw something. I did like the heart, though.
